Pfc.
Andrew Bonsee, Sgt. Phillip Thacker, and Spc. Matthew McKenzie from
the 1175th MP Company, based in St. Clair, load hot meals onto a
humvee during winter storm relief operations in the city of St Louis.
The Salvation Army prepared meals for warming shelters in the St.
Louis area and the Missouri National Guard transported the food to the
shelters. At the peak of the relief operations, the Guard delivered
about 1,000 meals per day. In addition to meal delivery, Soldiers from
the 1175th also conducted foot patrols and door-to-door canvassing
along with the St. Louis Fire Department in areas of St. Louis city
most impacted by the loss of power from the severe winter storms.
